Legion Patch 7.2 Survival Guide

First I would like to apologise for the lack of content. Real life has been happening a lot lately.

Patch 7.2 goes live tomorrow. This post will cover just the changes relating to Feral Druids. As usual, MMO Champion has a detail on all of the patch features, WoW Head has survival guide up, and there is a good summary guide of things to do on Reddit that I recommend. Feral Changes
Very few changes to Feral. As to be expected, there are some buffs (poor scaling) and a few legendary changes.

  • Feral Druids now deal 4% more damage with Rake, Shred, Swipe, Thrash, Brutal Slash, Moonfire, Ferocious Bite, Ashamane’s Frenzy, and Rip.A 4% buff isn’t very much, but at least it applies to all abilities and not favouring direct damage over damage over time.
  • PVP
    • Bloodletter’s Frailty increases the damage you deal to the target by 15% in PvP.

Legendary Changes

  • All Specs
    • Sephuz’s Secret – Now always grants 10% increased movement speed and 2% Haste. When triggered, this bonus is increased to the current values of 70% movement speed and 25% Haste. The 10% movement speed bonus now stacks with other movement speed bonuses.This legendary is interesting. It was originally a ‘utility’ legendary, but with the buffs it should be closer to par. These buffs should make it more competitive without having to use interrupts and stuns on-cooldown to trigger the proc.
    • Ekowraith, Creator of Worlds – Now has an additional 658 Haste (@ ilvl 940) as a third bonus secondary stat.It’s a shame that haste is so bad for Feral’s. That said, this tier set having 6 pieces give you more flexibility to keep your 4-set bonus and mix-n-match legendaries. At ilvl 940 (after upgrades) it’s not too bad in stats alone.
    • Added new craftable Legendary items
      •  Demon Hunter, Druid, Monk, Rogue – Boots) The Sentinel’s Eternal Refuge

        As far as legendaries go, this one is not too bad in pure stats. Mastery and crit are the top two for Feral. The three gem sockets lets you double down on the mastery. However the movement speed is pure utility with tenuous throughput.
  • Feral Specific
    • Chatoyant Signet – Now also increases your Energy regeneration by 5%.More energy seems like it would be good. But if you spam your abilities and are constantly waiting for energy to regenerate, your final cap doesn’t matter. This legendaries requires you to play restrained and really concentrate on your energy management. The buff to energy generation helps offset the downtime from pooling.
    • Fiery Red Maimers – Now also causes your next Maim to cost no Energy.

Now you are aware of the changes it’s time to focus on content. As far as PVE is concerned, make sure that:

  •  Assault on the Broken Shore – Setting Up your Base and Unlocking 7.2 Hub.
  • Unlocking AK 26 – Seeking Lost Knowledge
  • Unlocking your Empowered Traits
